Omar’s presentation was eye opening and allowed for me to realize how comedy was a form of cultural resistance when he recollected his story about Timothy McVeigh I didn’t know that comedians had the same though process and how comedians all have a common ground.

In John Friske’s article he describes how the mall is the place for women to resist against their expected roles in society and it made sense to me how he got that view point because in a shopping mall that’s when women can go full out and buy what they want without the need to restrain themselves. Malls are essentially harming and helping women get away with their needs. Even if women tries to escape it is still very hard to.

In John Jordan’s article he discusses a protest goup Reclaim the Streets and he talks about the weapon they used for DIY movement which was interesting because it reflected a bit in Omar’s presentation.
